Macro Briefing: thestory of the day.

A daily macro briefing tells you what matters before the session opens: what moved overnight, what central banks said and which event is in focus today. The Macro Briefing in Prime Terminal is written by our analysts for every session.

It is the first thing you open in the morning routine, and it takes about 1 minute to read.

What it shows

4 short blocks: the dollar, Europe, commodities and today. Each block says what happened and why it matters. No long reports, no opinions dressed up as facts.

How to read it

Read it once and write down the story of the day in 1 sentence. Then check the "today" block: that is the event your plan has to respect. If the briefing and your bias point in opposite directions, find out why before you trade.

Use it in real trading

The tool informs the decision, it never makes it. Here is how it plays out on real trading days.

1
Confirmation

The briefing says the dollar is soft after weak data. Your USDJPY short fits the story, so you keep your plan.

2
A warning

Your EURUSD long is ready, but the briefing flags an ECB speaker who may push back on rate cuts. You wait for the speech.

Mistakes to avoid

  • Skipping the briefing because "the chart says enough".
  • Reading it after you already opened a trade.
  • Treating it as a signal instead of context.

What makes it different

Anyone can summarise headlines with AI. The Macro Briefing is written and checked by our analysts, which is why we call it context you can trust, not a feed.
