Trading with a full-time job:the evening routine.
Trading with a full-time job is not about watching screens at lunch. It is about doing the thinking in the evening and letting levels and alerts do the watching.
This is the routine for traders with 30 minutes a day.
Evening: think
Read the session recap and the Week Ahead. Check your 3 markets on the Overview List. Decide the level for each idea and where it is wrong.
Day: let the plan work
Place orders or alerts at your levels. During the day, you only check whether an alert fired. No new ideas at work.
Use it in real trading
The tool informs the decision, it never makes it. Here is how it plays out on real trading days.
Your EURUSD sell order at the level fills while you are in a meeting. The stop and target were set the evening before.
CPI comes out during work hours. Your plan for that day was no orders before the release.
Mistakes to avoid
- Trading on your phone at lunch.
- Making new decisions at work.
- Holding orders through big events you cannot watch.
What makes it different
The recaps and briefings are written for exactly this: you catch up in minutes after work.
